Job Vacancy - Administrative Assistant

Salary Scale Points 7-12 (£24,294 - £26,421) 22 hrs. per week pro-rata

Llanrwst Town Council is looking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to support the work carried out by the Town Clerk on behalf of the Council. 

This part time post, 22 hours per week, will suit a person with good administrative and people skills who enjoys being involved with the local community.  Working hours will be agreed with the Town Council and Town Clerk, but it should be noted that an element of the job will involve attending evening meetings (approx. 15 per year). 

It is expected that the successful applicant will be proficient working with the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products, especially Word and Excel. A background working in Local Government or similar organization is desirable. The applicant will be given the opportunity to further develop their existing skill set. 

The Assistant will be expected to undertake general administrative duties including the preparation of documents prior to and attend Town Council meetings, take meeting notes, and draft minutes, monitor and process email and social media enquiries and information also assist in the planning, organization and attend the various events which the Town Council arrange throughout the year.
